Molly Bell

Molly Bell has been working for C3 since March, 2002. She has a double bachelor's degree in Geology and French from the University of Michigan and a master's in Geology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has a special interest in science education and outreach, and during graduate school she participated in many volunteer activities. Some of her favorite experiences included "adopting " a 5th grade class to help students develop and carry out an experiment about the greenhouse effect, acting as chairperson for the Los Padres National Forest Santa Barbara Ranger District's 1999 Earth Day exhibit, and helping judge the Ventura County Science Fair for the Coast Geological Society.

Since receiving her master's in 1999, Molly has been working on a variety of science education-related projects, at both the university and K-12 level. At the university level, she has edited science textbooks and developed content for companion websites and CD-ROMs. At the elementary level, she has developed a number of online learning modules in natural hazards as part of a sixth grade science curriculum. She has also contributed several articles to an encyclopedia of Earth science and co-authored an introductory natural hazards textbook. Molly currently resides in Canada with her husband and two sons.
