Kimberly Kirstein

Kimberly has her bachelor’s degree in middle grades education from Georgia State University and her master’s degree in geosciences from Mississippi State University. She has taught middle school math, science, and language arts. Following the birth of her first child, Kimberly looked for ways to stay in the field of education while being at home with her son. She worked as a linkmaster correlating a variety of Internet resources to the Georgia Quality Core Curriculum. She then began writing lessons, units, and curriculum designed to help teachers integrate technology and the Internet into their classrooms.

Now the mother to three sons, Kimberly still loves the field of education and is always striving to find new ideas to create resources that will provide exciting learning opportunities for students. She feels that students learn the most through engaging activities that integrate technology with an interdisciplinary, real-world approach. She has most recently created activities for a new curriculum and catalogued Web resources for the MarcoPolo Search Engine.
