Home > About C3 > Staff Profiles : Jonathan Rowe Jonathan RoweJonathan Rowe is English and resides in the region of Lincolnshire known as "South Holland," a reference to the tulips grown in numbers there. He is a high school teacher with 10 years of experience in English Literature, Linguistics, Drama, Media Studies, Religious Studies, and Psychology, with a range of age groups. He currently teaches Psychology to high school students preparing for university entrance.
Jonathan's interests extend to dramatics (directing and performing), debating, history, theology, and wargaming (a curious hobby for which he has organised many youth clubs). His philosophy of education has always involved an enthusiastic commitment to the extra-curricular life of schools and, within the classroom, to bringing the extra-academic skills in computing, hobby games, and debating contemporary issues into the curriculum. He has been highly praised for the quality of his teaching and subject-knowledge by two school inspections by OFFSTED (the Office for Standards in Education) and has worked for several national exam boards as an examiner in different courses and syllabi. From among such talents as he possesses, he brings to his work for Cross-Curricular Connections a felicitous turn of phrase and a broad and enthusiastic background knowledge in Arts, Literature, History, and Philosophy. |
