Christopher Cook

Christopher Cook is the Senior Editor for Cross-Curricular Connections and has been with the company since its inception, beginning as a research consultant in July 2000. Chris performs a wide variety of duties for C3, but his primary role as Editor relies on the array of writing and editing abilities gleaned from his studies of Linguistics and Russian at the University of St. Andrews, the University of Massachusetts, and the University of Montana.

Prior to assuming his role at C3, Chris worked as a freelance writer and editor in Los Angeles and Southern California, creating and editing promotional materials and advertising campaigns for a number of clients, including Boeing and Newport Boats. He also edited English translations of foreign language stories and served as a consultant for the IT Division of MCA Records. As is to be expected of anyone who lives anywhere near Hollywood, Chris has also done the requisite stints as a background performer, stand-in, and model. And, just like every garbage collector, police officer, and bellhop in LA, he has written a couple of screenplays - just in case...

Chris brings a certain hipness and a sense of humor to his unrelenting grammatical pedantry, and was described by Dr. Linda Tate as "the best editor [she'd] ever encountered." Recently married, Chris now lives with his wife Judy somewhere in the sun-soaked wilds of Van Nuys, California.
